Wellllllll....just wanted y'all to know that Topcities has deleted my account. I cannot access my files or anything at all. It is so frustrating. I honestly don't have the time or energy to start a new website at a different domain. The really strange thing is that most of my webpages are still in existence. It's like they deleted my username, but not my website. I don't get it. It is very frustrating though.
Less than a week until Thanksgiving. I'm looking forward to family coming from Florida to visit on Tuesday. I love my new job.
This weekend I'm going to try to clean and do laundry, etc. I have no voice, and a sore throat, so I'm feeling a bit "yucky". Hopefully I'll be better tomorrow. Hope you're doing well.

I wrote a post and it didn't save, so now I'm just going to say that I am very busy with my new job, but love it.
Had a surprise 40th birthday for my hubby on Saturday night. That was a huge success and I think he was completely surprised.
Lost a friend, John, last week to complications associated with diabetes. God rest his soul.
John, we miss you at the Boarding House. If anyone reading this has or knows someone with diabetes, please take extra care of your blood sugar levels and yourself. I lost my grandfather to the same thing.
School is soooooooooo busy. Gotta get to work.
What an incredibly busy summer this has been! Let me tell you. Well, I still can't seem to get the used to this journal, but I'm trying. Anyway, first things first. I have LOTS of new pregnancy blinkies available at my site. They are located here: htp://workingmom.topcities.com/blinkies.html.
For the record, NO, I am not pregnant. I have noticed a high volume of traffic at my site looking for pregnancy blinkies, so I started making some and got carried away. I also made some summer blinkies. A little late, but they're there now anyway.
This summer I taught summer school. That wasn't so bad, but made for a busy summer and it sure did go by quickly. I am no longer teaching Spanish as of this new school year. Starting Monday, August 23, I will be a guidance counselor. I am really excited about it
, let me tell you. Should be a whirlwind the first six weeks of school at least though.
We are going to Rhode Island today for a couple days
. I need to pack, so I have to get moving. But I wanted to let you all know about my new job. Also, please pray for the people in Charlotte County, Florida who are dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Charley. My Aunt Kelly and Grandmother are ok, as are their families. My Aunt Kathy's mobile home was destroyed, but fortunately she can stay with my grandmother whose house was left unscathed. It's really hard for them right now. No electricity, lots of heat and no relief. It is a HUGE disaster area all around them. People's homes are destroyed left and right. It's going to take a long time to clean up. Pray for relief for everyone there from the terrible heat and for the electricity to be restored quickly. I asked if there is anything I can do and she said, "No." You can't even go down there right now because the National Guard has the highway exits blocked off to keep people out. It's a mess.
So anyway, I have to get moving.
It's July 19 already. Where has the time gone
? I have been busy, but also just using my time to do different things around the house lately. Today I am being really lazy
. I think I need to just get up and move and maybe I'll get something done
.
Wonderful news!!!! I will not be teaching in September, I will be a guidance counselor as of August 23. It's what I've wanted and now I finally have the position. I am most happy.
The boys have been keeping themselves busy this summer between Tae Kwon Do Camp last week
and playing with their friends. I feel like the summer is getting away from us so quickly
. I think that in part, this is due to my working this summer. Yuck
. But the money is good and I'm pleased with that.
and hot earlier
thunderstorms later

WAY to go, Amber in Survivor All Stars! I, personally was half-hoping that Rupert would win, but I really do think that Rob played the best game. After all, this is Survivor, where people stab each other in the back just to win the big bucks...and that's exactly what Rob did. You know, I think Lex needs to get off his high horse and get over it. He did the same thing to Colby and Ethan that was done to him. Poor, poor Lex. NOT. And as far as Tom goes. Tom didn't deserve to win. He didn't even deserve a spot in the top four. I was so upset that Colby was voted off when he was that I was all for Rob and Amber being the final two. Like I said, Rob played the game more than Amber did.
Ok, enough of all that. Things are good with me. BUSY time of the year with Tae Kwon Do, Baseball, Cub Scouts, church, etc. that I don't feel like I have much time for myself. That will pass soon enough though because school is winding down.
We are going to Florida on the last day of school. Leaving that afternoon, coming back a week later. I feel badly that we'll be gone for Father's Day, but I have to work this summer, so I don't have any other options.
I still haven't finished the Glorious Appearing. It's just heavy duty reading and not easy at all (in my opinion).
I made lots of Survivor Blinkies yesterday. That's about it for now.
Fine

Heavy rain earlierI'm just not used to writing in this yet. Oh my, well, what is new? Joey celebrated his 6th birthday this weekend.
We had a great time! I am having a hard time realizing that my baby isn't a baby anymore. Tonight I made cupcakes for him to bring to school tomorrow. School
...it's a bad word right now. I had a really rough day the day before spring break started. Now I'm back and have to get through the last haul of the year. Uggh.
Mitch is playing baseball this season. He's had several practices and the games start May 1, but I'm not sure what the schedule is yet.
I'm reading The Glorious Appearing. It's good, but hard to get through. I find I'm only able to read a few pages at a time because it's rather heavy stuff. Well, I think I'm going to sleep.
Monday to do list:
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Work: Guidance counselors meet with AP class
Lesson plans
Finish correcting papers
Mitch: Baseball practice
Joey: Tae Kwon Do
Brian: Off
Dinner: Tacos?

Well, it's about 9 p.m. on Saturday. I need to go to bed. I have a bad cold and no energy.
I spent some time tonight working on a new page for my website. It's a Mother's Day Quilt. I like the way it came out. I am looking forward to spring coming in its fullest. Right now it's still cold and raw. We had snow this week. I'm tired of the cold. Joey is sick again. Has an infection of his lymph nodes. It was very large the other day. But he looks better today.
My Mother-in-Law is taking Mitch to the St. Patrick's Day parade tomorrow. I don't want to go. I'm not up to it. Joey isn't going because he's sick. So it's Mitch and his dad with the gang. Fun, fun, fun! (Not to me. Too cold.)
I'm going to bed now. Just wanted to put in a quick note here.
I don't know...tired maybe

Cloudy & RainyWell, today has been quite a day. On Friday nights, my son's friend comes over while his mother works at their family's new restaurant. Last night I conceded and said that he could sleep over. Oh my what a long day!
The two older boys are together and they ignore my younger son and he becomes miserable. It's nearly 8 o'clock and I'm putting my two sons both to bed then. I need to clean around here, but have spent the day with a dull head ache and did about 10 loads of laundry, so that has occupied my time considerably. I much prefer keeping up with the laundry during the week than doing it all on Saturday, but at least I was home today to do it. (Next Saturday is going to be very hectic.)
The den looks nice.
It's brigher and cleaner and I just like the feel of it. It smells clean. It's really nice. The rest of the house looks bad though, so I need to get moving with it.
Tomorrow I am teaching Joey's Sunday School class because his regular teacher won't be there. That will be nice. I've done it for Mitch's class several times. This will be my first time with Joey's class. They are watching a Veggie Tales video about forgiveness.
I did some work on my site today. Cleaned up the St. Patrick's Day
pages. I hadn't done much with them in two years and they were a bit of a mess. It's amazing to see how much HTML I have learned in the past two years and how many mistakes I made then. One of my pet peeves is hidden embedded music. Sometimes I just don't want to hear it, especially at school and when the boys are watching a program. Well, I've slowly been changing the music codes so that the viewer can turn the music off if so desired. I'm going to do a Mother's Day page too. I'm thinking of doing a quilt or something. Found some beautiful graphics at Marsha's Graphic Garden. Looking forward to putting something together for that.
Other than that, I think that's about all.![]()

Beautiful
, cleaned like crazy, painted the ceiling and trim
, stained and polyurethaned the woodwork around the windows and door frames. What a LOT of work
. I just don't think we ever realize how much a project is going to entail. Do we?
